Projektet har disse formål:
- At undgå CO2 belastning af atmosfæren ved at gennemføre projektet uden at flyve frem og tilbage mellem Danmark og Uganda
- At plante træer for at beskytte klima og miljø og for at øge den biodiversiteten
- At forbedre indkomst og miljø hos småbønder i Uganda
- At skabe en forretningsmodel for unge iværksættere i Uganda
I 2023 er projektet kommet op at flyve – endda uden flyvninger til Uganda.
I denne indledende fase blev projektet financieret af en række mindre donationer. I alt 50.000 kr. Pengene er brugt på udstyr og træplantninger hos småbønderne. FFEP har kontrakt med 14 småbønder om plantningerne og der er i samarbejde med de enkelte bønder plantet 2500 træer.
Sigtet med startfasen har været at kunne dokumentere projektets seriøsitet, før vi begyndte at sælge certifikater på plantning af træer.
Projektet vil på den baggrund i de kommende år vise sin levedygtighed ved salg af træer til plantning hos småbønder i Uganda. Det vil ske ved de to projektgruppers aktiviteter og arrangementer. Købere af et antal træer til plantning vil få et
certifikat med oplysning om småbondens navn og telefonnummer samt koordinater, der viser træernes placering på hans jord. Ud over købet af de små træer til udplantning, omfatter prisen også selve plantningen hos småbonden, samt vejledning og opfølgning.

The project has these objectives:

- To create a business model for young entrepreneurs in Uganda
In 2023 the project has started flying – even without flights to Uganda.
In this initial phase, the project was financed by a number of smaller donations. A total of DKK 50,000.
The money has been spent on equipment and tree plantings at the smallholders. FFP has a contract with 14 smallholders for the plantings, and 2500 trees have been planted in collaboration with the individual farmers.
The aim of the initial phase was to be able to document the seriousness of the project before we started selling certificates for planted trees.
On that background the project will demonstrate its viability by selling trees for planting at smallholders in Uganda. This will happen by the activities and events of the two project groups.
Buyers of trees for planting will receive a certificate stating the name and telephone number of the smallholder, as well as coordinates showing the location of the trees on her land. In addition to the purchase of the small trees for planting, the price also includes the actual planting at the smallholder, as well as guidance and follow-up.
